Veterinary rules
It is always a good idea to acquaint yourself with the specific rules and guidelines that apply to Danish dog shows before entering.
Veterinary rules / Vaccinations
All dogs that take part in DKK arrangements (including shows) must be vaccinated against DHP: Distemper, Parvo virus and infectious Hepatitis.
The following documentation must be presented:
- For puppies under the age of 12 weeks, the vaccination must be minimum 7 days and no more than 5 weeks old (valid for dogs taking part in arrangement immediately after having attained the age of 12 weeks).
- For puppies/juniors vaccinated at 12 weeks or later, the vaccination is valid until the dog attains the age of 1 year.
- For dogs vaccinated after the age of 6 months, the vaccination is valid for 3 years.
- At the first vaccination or if the vaccination has been expired, the vaccination must be at least 7 days old.
- As an alternative to a vaccination certificate, a positive antibody titer test for distemper, parvo virus and hepatitis is approved. The antibody titer test must be performed after the dog has attained the age of 6 months. A positive antibody titer test is valid for 3 years after the blood sample was taken.
Foreign dogs must moreover be able to document vaccination against rabies according to the Danish legislation in force at the time in question:https://en.foedevarestyrelsen.dk/animals/travelling-with-pet-animals
